Don’t gamble on your dispensary in Nevada

While the Nevada market is still developing and has seen slower growth than other states, there is plenty of opportunity to cultivate a successful cannabis business here.

The secret to thriving in Nevada is to emphasize high quality, not only in your cannabis products, but your retail experience as well. Cannabis retailers have an opportunity to be extremely profitable as there is less competition, and customer loyalty is yours to win.

Increase revenue

The sheer footprint of Nevada dispensaries makes maximizing revenue more important. Win customers and increase sales with proactive Deals, personable staff, and tech that activates upsells and efficiency, like self-service kiosks and the Nug mobile hardware.

Icon block 2

Reduce cost of operations

With low profit margins in Nevada, there's no room for waste. Inventory is a big expense, especially for large dispensaries. Our mobile Stash® app helps automate manual inventory work like auditing, transfers, and discrepancies, reducing time spent by up to 90%.

Icon block 3

Manage risk & compliance

Just like the strict laws on casinos in Nevada, the cannabis market is heavily regulated, so you need to be proactive about compliance. With our direct Metrc integration, you can automatically upload sales to fulfill daily reporting requirements.

Icon block 4

Modernize experiences

Many tourist customers have never been to a dispensary; others are from legal states but curious how you compare. Give both of them the best experience with an intuitive store layout and integrated technologies. Look for integration partners like digital signage, self-help kiosks, dispensary payment processing, and online menus.

Scale & expand operations

Whether it's adding new stores or increasing revenue at the one you have, we make it easy to track and achieve key performance indicators. The View® app lets you check company-wide reports in real-time from your phone. Monitor sales data, inventory discrepancies, and employee performance.

Connect data & apps

Nevada customers expect online menus, clear signage, speedy check-in/checkout, and payment options. Flowhub has an integrated suite of high-performance applications, as well as an open cannabis API for connecting delivery, online ordering, and more to meet the standard of how consumers want to shop for cannabis today.

Can I easily add new dispensary locations to my Flowhub account?

Yes, we make it easy for you to expand to multiple dispensary locations with Flowhub. If you are already using our cannabis POS software, you can quickly add and onboard new stores to your account. Features like the global cannabis product catalog and the ability to transfer inventory between stores will allow you to get your new location up and running quickly. We built our POS software so both owners and managers can make company-wide updates and see reports at the company level or location level.

How is cannabis taxed in Nevada?

Nevada imposes a 15% excise tax on wholesale cannabis, which is paid by the cultivator. There is also a 10% excise tax on the retail sale, which is paid by the retail store. Finally, there is a retail sales tax at the local rate at the dispensary. To learn more about Nevada cannabis tax, reference their state page.

What are Nevada’s marijuana laws?

Nevada’s tracking system is Metrc. Recreational customers are allowed 1 ounce of cannabis per day, equivalent to 1/8 ounce of concentrate. Medical patients can obtain up to 2.5 ounces of flower every two weeks. Visit the Nevada State site to find the most updated and in-depth regulatory info and purchase limits.

Why do I need an integration to Metrc (and other vendors like Weedmaps, Leafly, Dutchie, Jane or Enlighten)?

Integrations to Metrc and other vendors will not only help your dispensary run more efficiently, it will also save you time and money. Without an integration to Metrc, you will spend hours looking at packages and updating manually. Integrating through Flowhub’s open cannabis API will automate manual tasks and reduce the risk of human error. Also, in today’s contactless environment, enabling ecommerce options through integrations, like online ordering and delivery service, will help you stand out from competitors and continually satisfy the shifting preferences of your customer base.

How can I best stand out against the competition?

The best way to stand out is to be unique. In a highly regulated industry, you maybe can’t do that in some areas of your business, but there’s plenty of room for creativity. Focus first on your curb appeal, and the feeling customers get when they walk into your space. Vegas is a city of extra, so don’t be shy with that feeling of awe. Then, make sure you back it up with efficient and friendly operations, mobile solutions to maximize freedom, ecommerce options for convenience, and an appropriate selection of high-quality products.
